Person Specific Description (Limited Space)

This description is just as important as the photos you provide.   By incorporating a hobby, occasion, sport, occupation, mannerism, or quirk, you make this a truly personal gift.  Look at our gallery to get ideas.

Your challenge is to really think about what you want to see and then tell us in a concise manner.  In other words, DON’T WRITE A BOOK but TELL US WHAT YOU WANT!   Please include all of your direction up front before our artist creates your caricature so we can avoid the time and potential cost of significant changes.

  1. Be concise!

  2. Use verbs!  - Describe what actions you want the subjects doing  (ie. playing poker, shooting pool, sitting on a toilet, flying, holding hands, falling out of a car, drinking beer, talking on a phone).

  3. # Props  - In addition to the 1-2 large props (buildings, cars, stadium) that set the stage for the background, a couple of small quirks or details (called props) per person can be included.  Limit these to 1-3 props per person for and 1-2 per person for caricatures with more than 2 subjects.   If you list more, there may be additional charges.

Referencing an example on our site?  Right click on the image, save it to your computer, and upload it with your photos, so our artists know exactly which example you liked.  The resulting caricature will be similar but because these are all done individually, it may not be an exact match.

We try to keep the pricing on our website simple by pricing on a per person basis.  Too much detail that increases artist time will increase the price.  We will always contact you for your approval of additional charges BEFORE we begin work.  This could result in a delay of your caricature.

Pets:  Pets can be  people too (at least for the purpose of a caricature).

  • If you are requesting a specific breed, and/or the animal / pet is focal to the artwork, include a picture and choose the appropriate number of subjects when ordering.

  • If it is just a general description of one generic animal or pet (i.e. small black dog) then we will include that at no charge as part of the background (note, some common breeds MAY be done at no charge also, i.e. labs, poodles, retrievers).
